About
Licensed Marriage & Family therapist | Licensed professional counselor
Dylan Davies, MA, LMFT, LPC
Welcome! I’m a licensed therapist with over a decade of experience helping people transform how they show up in relationships — with their partners, with others, and with themselves.
My practice centers on couples therapy, with a deep emphasis on intentional relationship design. I work with partners who are ready to move beyond old patterns and co-create something more honest, conscious, and connected. Together, we explore communication, boundaries, attachment dynamics, and the subtle ways early relational wounds can echo into adult intimacy.
I also specialize in codependency recovery and work extensively with individuals — both partnered and solo — who are seeking to unhook from performative or people-pleasing roles and reclaim a more grounded sense of self.
Some of my clients are child-free by choice or questioning the traditional “relationship escalator.” I create space for these conversations without judgment — honoring alternative paths to fulfillment, family, and meaning.
In addition to individual and couples work, I have a strong passion for group therapy as a powerful container for practicing healthy relating in real time. I facilitate process-oriented groups focused on intimacy, boundaries, re-patterning, and authentic connection.
I have received specialized couples training in various modalities including Relational Life Therapy (RLT), the Gottman Method and Ellyn Bader’s Developmental Model through the Couples Institute. My work with interpersonal group therapy is informed by modern psychoanalysis from the Center for Group Studies in New York where I am currently a student in advanced group studies. My approach integrates psychodynamic, somatic, and systems-based modalities, with a strong foundation in attachment and nervous system regulation.
I have served in a leadership position on the board of Austin Psychoanalytic as the Marketing Chair for 2018-2020 and was on the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committee at Austin Group Psychotherapy Society from 2018-2019.
Outside the therapy room, I turn to nature, music, and ritual as steady sources of inspiration. I’m currently learning both the fiddle and the banjo, and find that creativity, like healing, thrives in slowness and repetition. I value presence, emotional honesty, and relationships that make space for both truth and tenderness. Therapy with me is collaborative, grounded, and deeply human.
